Highway Safety Squad

Happy Thursday!

Highway Safety Squad!

For the first time ever, I was called upon to rescue a friend who had found himself stranded on the side of the highway, out of gas, terrified and alone.  Ok, so technically I wasn’t called, but my friend was and I was bored, so I came along for the ride…of a lifetime!

Anyhoo, it was an incredibly tense hour. Traffic was heavy. Meteors were falling from the sky. Lightning was everywhere. Werewolves were fighting wolverines only feet from where we were parked. A river of fire swallowed the east bound lane of 394. Pterodactyls were dropping pterodactyl eggs from the sky. It was truly a sight to be seen, yet somehow, we managed to deliver a very much needed can of gas to our stranded friend. As he drove away, me and my friend basked in the glow of a job well done.

A better, longer blog will take place tomorrow. Sorry. Time crunch today!

That’s either a sketch or storytelling moment waiting to happen, sir. Write it up and see what happens.

This is completely off-topic from your heroics, but have you read the book “I Love You Beth Cooper” by Larry Doyle?

If not; read it. I’m only about a fourth of the way into it, but it’s made me laugh out loud more than the entire career of Dane Cook, and it struck as me the kind of book Mike Fotis would write were he to ever write fiction.

    Pterodactyl’s are awesome!

For years I’ve been trying to come up with the most mind blowing last name possible for me to legally change my name to, and by golly, perhaps it should be:

    “Thami Pterodactyl”

Seriously, how kickass would that be?!
