Happy Thursday!

1. Final preview before the big opening is tonight.   Last night we did a final run through and it went pretty well. I personally feel like I did a good job…for the first time in this process. Will this be a continuing trend, or was my speck of success merely a blip on the failure radar? What? I don’t know. I even failed writing this section of the ol’ blog.

2. Come on, Cubs! Come on! Hold on!

3. How was Petty? Did anyone go? If so, tell me about it.

4. How was the Hold Steady? Did anyone go? Did it happen yet? If so, tell me about it.

I came, I went, I stayed up waaaaay past my bedtime! First of all, Steve Winwood opened it up and I was a little juiced about that until every single one of his songs lasted 12 minutes a piece. After 5 of those I went out to smoke. Then it was time for Tom Petty and he was raised on promises! AMAZING! I had perma-smile the entire time and every song was unbelievable! All 17 of them! SOOOOOO much fun! Also, I discovered while looking at the t-shirts, that his last date on this tour is in The Woodlands, TX which is where my sista resides, so I may be jet-setting to the Lone Star state in August for one more show! How friggin’ cool would that be?! So in all, if I were to give Tom Petty a review on E-Bay is would look something like this:
Recommended concert for the masses, did not disappoint A++++++! Woot!
