California and Doctors
Happy Thursday!
1. I was in L.A. yesterday on business. I was not a fan of L.A. the first few times I visited, but this time I was more of a fan. Like any city, I suppose it matters where in the city you actually go. On this visit I saw mountains (hills), sun, blue skies and brush fires!
The brush fire was pretty cool and held up traffic for quite a while. This gave me a chance to sit on the highway while helicopters swept in and doused the thing with water. It didn’t seem to be working, but it was cool nonetheless.
2. Today was a trip to the doctor for my annual physical. And by annual, I mean the first visit in nearly three years. I’m not going to say I’m broken, but I certainly need a tune up. A doctor should never use the phrase “very concerned” while talking with you, let alone about 5 separate things. Anyhoo…there you go.
3. The outline for the Fringe show is done! I have set a target goal of having the first draft of this show done by Saturday night. Place your wagers in the comment section!

I bet you will have it done by Saturday night!
I agree that there are wonderful things about LA and other areas of Southern California. I like the proximity to mountains, deserts, beaches, snow, heat, forests, and the wild of human cities. But, other things evoke a desire for other places: earthquakes, mudslides, black lung, traffic, [sub]urban sprawl, heightened celebrity interest, cookoo politics (Exhibit A: California’s IOUs), and the distances away from friends and family.
As for doctors, well, I know what you mean. It makes you wonder what they understand about ‘manners’ in “bedside manners.”
Mike What 5 things was the doctor very concerned about? Note: Sons should never use the phrase “doctor was very concerned” until he has notified his mother.5 THINGS!!!
MOM-(who is very concerned)
